Exclamation Ford 6.7 Diesel spied?

PickupTruck.com - Ford's New Scorpion Diesel V8 Spied

Found this. Theres also a spy picture of a F-150 with the same exhaust tips as the 6.4 power stroke. It's gonna get really interesting in the next 2 years I believe!

Developing a completly NEW engine is pretty expensive and if it comes out like the 6.0 with a bunch of problems or the 6.4 with bad mpg and DPF problems this will finally kill the company.

God that thing is ugly!! It looks like it is upside down with the lighting reversed like that.

The hood could at least meet the fenders and make a smooth height transition. The hood looks terrible with that little edge to it.

That is just a modified hood to give the clearance needed. The truck will be redesigned in 2010. The hood is a band aid for testing. is wasn't meant to be pretty. LS

How cluttered under the hood do you think Ford will make it? I hope it's not worse then the 6.4 but with new emissions going down in 2010 it will probably be worse. Oops, I think I just answered my own question because if they had to make the hood taller, that means more room for whatever.

Super Duty maybe...I doubt we will see any 1/2 ton diesels anytime soon.
Who in their right mind would buy one with fuel a Dollar higher than gas, and the pollution garbage killing mpgs?

Ernest, I don't know how prices are by you, but here gas is quickly catching up to the diesel price only about .45 more for diesel now. Still cheaper for me to run diesel than the V10 on my F450's. In a couple weeks gas will be right there with diesel prices again. Memorial day is coming. Gas is always high in the summer. LS
