Ford to buy or use Cummins in next couple of years?

I had a friend tell me that "he heard" Ford was going to buy Cummins and begin using them in the next couple of years instead of the Powerstroke. I do not really believe this and wanted to know if anybody had heard anything about that...or just has more info
Thanks-Dominick

I heard briggs & Stratton just bought Cummins. You will soon be able to buy a new KW at your local Home Depot.

Yeah it must be true because I heard Murray was coming out with a 20 HP diesel, 54 inch riding mower.

Re: Ford to buy or use Cummins in next couple of years?

If any of you guys ever find any thing with a Cummings engine in it and it runs-buy it. You'll have the only one in the world. There is no "G" in the word Cummins silent or hidden either.

Your friend is wrong, Ford did not buy Cummins, they won Cummins in a poker game. Get real! Something like this is posted about once a week and it is not true. Just run a search on this subject and you'll have 6 months of reading. If Ford and Cummins get together, rest assured you will not be hearing it from your friend.

Trust me, Ford is in NO condition to purchase a company as large as Cummins. If you've seen thier stock prices lately, you'd understand.
