Gee, Fuel prices falling between now and November in an election year.... Hmmmmm....... Coincedence???
What I consistently find interesting is the fact that diesel at Murphy USA (Wal-Mart) is almost always the same price as their RUG and everywhere else diesel is the same price as PUG. Here there is nearly a .20 cent per gallon difference on average for diesel between Murphy USA and every one else. The difference between gasoline at Murphy and everywhere else is negligible, typically just the .03 cents if you use the shopping card.
I'm guessing everyone pays pretty much the same wholesale price per gallon for fuel, so who is getting the extra .15-.20 cents per gallon for diesel at the other stations, the distributor or the retailer??
Last I filled up the van, Paid 2.84 for diesel at WallyWorld with the shopping card discount. Diesel was 2.99 to 3.05 everywhere else.

Here in central Iowa $2.06 for gasoline (10% ethenol) and $2.68 for diesel. These are the best prices I can find around town. The is a Quick Trip truck stop on I-80 north of Des Moines that is always the cheapest on diesel. Prices here have been falling like a rock. It seems just two or so weeks ago, gas was $2.80 gal. The gas shot down and the diesel lags so SLOWLY behind. I wonder why that is?
