The great oil debate

Just wondering if anyone has compared full syn to delo or any other regular diesel oil with Lucas additive? I would think the lucas stuff would do close to the same as sticking to parts as Syn?

thanks

wow the lucas i run it 50 50 with dino oil and its great ive heard fulll syn trucks im still quieter than them at idle (engine noise not exhaust) and the engine runs very smooth but oil changes cost a lot lol
but i swear by lucas and i also run it in the tank (injector cleaner) and that helps so much

one of the best products out there
ill never run syn in one of these old diesels though unless its newly rebuilt
but a 6.0 syns ok

There has to be more of comparison than just dino vs. syn. Need to consider soot control and whether or not you have hydraulic lifters/oil pump (can't remember which causes the extra wear and tear).

I'm also looking for high quality oils that have molybdenum (for the high pressure oil pump and/or hydraulic lifters).

I think syn wins in cold climate, desert temperatures, and extended oil drain intervals.
