international 4900

i am having problems with the instrument cluster on the international 4900 the gauges work intermittently is this a problem with the dash cluster itself or a bad ground. anyone know what color international uses for grounds/

there are three plugs that go into the back of the dash cluster. when I worked at IH we often found that the pins in these plugs would get spread so they wouldn't have as good a connection. we'd often go through and replace all the pins and that would fix it right up.

Be really carefull not to bump the dip switches. On an older truck they can be a real pain to get to contact if switched, you can get your dash rebuilt for about 175.00 do a google search for ih 4900 speedo
