marine 3208 cat question

i have to pull the front cover off of a 3208 cat marine engine 375hp, to change coolant sleeves from the cover into the heads.This engine has the plastic sleeves one is leaking, anyone know if injection pump has to be removed to take the front cover off?

The injection pump is fastened to the block. No need to remove the pump to remove the front cover.

But I believe you have to pull the pan because the oil pickup is attached to the front cover......it's been 10 years so look it up before acting, but IIRC that is the way it goes.

My Company pickup: 86 F250 6.9 C6 320,000 miles Co trucks 5 89 to 94 IDI's, plus about 50 more diesels.
