overheating 8.3 cummins?

My '93 F-800 8.3 cummins is flashing and dinging the thermostat light then shutting down...the motor however is not above normal temps. Have replaced the sensor attached to the intake manifold ($75) and did not help. Are there more sensors I am not aware of?? Dan

Is there a low water senser in the top tank of the radiator? If so try changing that.
