Price of FUEL OTR drivers could help

I know everyone here is in the same boat but I just needed to vent. Why is it that the stocks are so great for the oil companies but we're ALL getting boned on the price of fuel? I'm not going political on this at all.. I don't think either party really cares that I have to walk past my clean 2004 F250 and get in my 1995 Ford Escort wagon everyday so I can afford to make a truck payment every month! Solution! If we had a group that drives diesel everyday, a group that the country depends on and a group that has a huge voice stand up and say enough is enough, we could get somewhere. Man, if I drove truck for a living, I would get together with everyone on the CB or two-way and say "Oops, we (every trucker in America)need to take a day (or two) off each week 'cause were tired of these fuel prices" and that would open some eyes. That's all we need; just open some eyes. Trust me, politicians who go to their ranch on the weekend to play with their trucks don't have to worry about fuel. It's all on some kinda expense account and we're buying their fuel anyway! Not that I'm asking you OTR guys to stop working and stop making money but it would be funny to watch the country squirm and get in their representatives face over this stuff! Thanks for letting me vent. Anyone else feel this way? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/mad.gif

If we didn't have so many peace loving hippies and librals, we could be pumping Iraq dry now, compensation for us having to go over their. I have no problem with it. We could be paying way cheap prices.

Having to go to war over there?

Dosn't make since to me.

But I'm just a peace loving, libral hippy, *******, who hates to follow radical religious right wing nuts. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

God Bless,

Back to orginal vent. I feelin you pain brother. We are at the mercy of big gov. and a whole lot of under the table cash.
Nothing we can say can change it until the next election. Vote. It's important.

I think kerry was wanting to add a .80 cent tax on fuel. That would even be worse. Im starting to take my chevralegs everywhere. Bye the way ******* and libral really dont mix. And as for radical religious...im not. But i am right wing, about as far right as you can go. I thought ******** liked to shoot things, librals want to take our firearms Doesnt make sense to me. Blow it out your pipes. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smokin.gif

The price of Diesel went up .11 cent the other day and it's up .24 in the last 3 weeks. A .01 cent per gal. per month Tax on terrorism, on all fuel made from petroloum would solve all our problems!! If that would have been done in 1990 we would most likely be running most on Bio Diesel or the next Gen of Fuel by now.

BTW: The arabs would be starving instead of killing our military personal!!

Well speaking from 30 years OTR experience, You can't get 2 drivers to agree on how many miles it is across a state, let alone stand together on this.

I was around for the "shutdowns" of the 70's didn't accomplish much.

As far as the CB, most of them don't speak english, how can you communicate with them?

I pass the increase along to the shipper so it's really not affecting me, except in my pickup. Don't get me wrong, I'm on YOUR side, but it's like beating a dead horse.

About the english speaking thing, your right. I go to the truck stops to take my nap at work and theirs a lot or arabs? Anyways i saw a few of them that even have restrooms in their trucks, they cut holes in thier seats and have a bucket /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/vomit.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/vomit.gif

Lets start with Iraq and, in the mean time, while we are using theirs, lets bore some holes in Alaska or where ever. If the US could become independent from OPEC and cut the mid east out of the deal they would think twice about their hostile, Kiss My A attitudes towards the hands that feed their towel wrapped heads. We could substitute oilhad for gihad(sp?). We could call is an oily war.

I don't think it really matters where we get the oil from. It is the greedy oil companies that are the problem. Lets face it everyone one knows it doens't cost $2.50 to produce a gallon of diesel fuel. I just read an article in Diesel Power Magazine, about high fuel prices. They speculate that U.S. oil companies and refineries are shipping diesel fuel to China becasue they can get more money for it /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/mad.gif Being that there is a short of oil, I don't think U.S. companies should be shipping OUR supplies over seas for more money. That is just crazy and the government should step in, but of course everyone knows why they won't and it just plain old sucks.

Now may be a good time to invest in a Bio. company

Well the way I see it we could do something along these lines... Towel heads and the like need one thing from us; grain for food. Our farmers raise the grain and the government buys it from them to give away over seas so we look like a bunch of great guys. In the mean time, the same starving rug heads wack us for fuel while they and their families eat our free food. Answer: Farmers raise their grain, don't sell it to the government who then gives it away (on our nickle), build a hugh alcohol production refinery here in the US, make alcohol from OUR grain for OUR vehicles, starve the rug heads sending them into a civil war which we would have to avoid helping in the babysitting duties and everyone is happy! We have the fuel, a "clean" burning alcohol that keeps the tree huggers happy, the ************* have no food and are forced to drink their oil, our farmers are happy because they sell their grain and we have a surplus of diesel which drops to .25/gal. Hmmm.

The thugs don't have to blow it up, they bought it! They're called Archers Daniel Midland and they are taking the family out of farming and replacing it with corporate.
