Now trying to figure out what kind/type of brake contrller to use. My trialer uses electric brakes. My hauler is air. Previously used an Ultima and loved it. Should I look at this type or an air/electric unit? Any recommendations?

Re: Small upgrade in tow vehicle... Now looking for a new brake controller
I am not sure how you can consider these "huge" as they are thumbnail images. Unless you went to the website and clicked on the image for a blown up version.

Re: Small upgrade in tow vehicle... Now looking for a new brake controller
there are controllers that work like the Jordan using the trucks air applied pressure. BUT for the life of me I cant think of the name of them. basically there truly proportional to the truck.
using a pressure sensor on the applied brake portion of the truck I can vary the output to the electric brakes on the trailer. the harder you stand on the brake peddle the harder the electric brakes apply. Dad had that setup in his old 330 Pete worked so good we never gave it a second look. just hooked up and went. worked Just like an 05+ with the ITBC only better with the big drums on the Pete.

Brakesmart controller sounds like it works this way. The thing is awesome! Don't even know the trailer is back there.
