Spicer transmission guys help me please

Alright, I have a 1999 international 4700,it has a six-plus trans, and it quit working. I need to find one (preferably used) asap. The spicer number is ESO-527a. I thought these were real common trucks, why can't I find used parts.... Ive found several eso-657a or b's but I can't get an answer as to whether or not it'll work.
Thanks for any help you can give me

Re: Spicer transmission guys help me please

You might come out ahead by having yours rebuilt (a used one might be worse than what you have). If not, I've never dealt with them, but there's a HUGE truck wrecking yard in the San Joaquin or Sacramento Valley of Ca. that I've heard if they don't have it no one does. I'm sure someone here can come up with their name. They used to advertise in the big-time fleet trucking mags.

Re: Spicer transmission guys help me please

Gamache truck parts in Canada is good too, but like LMJD said I would rather rebuild and know what I have than buy used and possibly have more problems.

Re: Spicer transmission guys help me please

The difference is the input shaft size, one trans is for a heavy duty dual disk clutch and the other is for a single disk light duty. Unless you tore up a shaft (usually does does not happen) you will be way ahead of the game rebuilding the one that you have. I just had the trans overhauled in my 99 4700 with a dt466 in it, all new bearings, hardware, and a new clutch with a flywheel reface cost me $1,400.00 out the door.
