A buddy of mine just bought another tiltbed, a 99' international 4700 series with the famous 7.3L 444e. Question is, the company who owned it limited the top speed to 65mph, his 95 will go about 78-80. The 99' however never reaches top engine speed in its last gear even going downhill, plus you can't hear the turbo once it reaches 65. Is there anyway for a typical mechanic to remove this without a special scan tool?

[/ QUOTE ]As far as I know you cant Touch it without the Diamond Logic software From International which Is proprietary to them. But there are several Tuners that are able to program Chips For International ECM'S To overwrite The stock calibrations.
