Highest I have seen around town was $4.85/gallon. Last I passed by Shell it was $4.65/gallon. Hopefully it drops to the $2.55/gallon I was paying last year around this time.

Here in Utah I saw 4.59 and 4.78 and everything in between yesterday. We have a number of refineries here but have some of the highest fuel prices in the country...go figure.

I recently paid $7.02 USD for diesel US Gal in the backcountry of Yukon Territory. Our 8500 mile trip to BC, Yukon T and Alaska with our 6.4 and camper cost $6000.

Wow. Sorry to hear that. I thought we had the highest prices in North America (other than the territories up north, I guess we do) when RUG was at $1.52+/L (around $5.80/gallon). $4.99+ in Washington state this summer seemed like a deal to me. I'm sure it would have been around $200 to fill up the van here in the city. I'm glad the van was in the shop for all of July for the peak!
