30,000 mile service

A friend has an 05 F150 approaching 30,000 miles.
The Service writer is telling him it is required. It consist of changing the synthetic trans fluid, fuel filter, air filter and servicing the injectors. The engine has not had any problems nor the transmission. It is not abused nor used off road.
I think it is just a money maker for the dealer.
Is it required? If so is just the trans fluid service all that is really required. 184.00 seems a mite stiff.

Re: 30,000 mile service

Trans service is not recommended by Ford unless severe use or heavy towing is done on that trans.
Injector flush is not recommended by Ford, a dealer upsale item.

Note: both these items are not required but aren't a bad idea either.
Draining the fluid and refilling what drains does keep additive level higher in ATF. This can add extra miles to transmission.
The deposits on backside of intake valves, if any is there, can build to a level that will cause poor cold running performance.
