There is a website out there somewhere that matches people who need a box or a cat or a car taken somewhere across the country with a person who has the room for it, and is going that direction. Usually the people will post what they have, where it needs to go, and how much they are willing to pay for it. Guys like us can find somthing they would like to take and drop off if they have room and its on their way.
anyone know the name of that website? Im drawing a huge blank on it and Im headed out to detroit from seattle and would like to make a buck to offset fuel costs on my dead run out there to pick up a trailer.
thanks in advanced.

You could post on the Washington list for an eastbound truckload and on the Michigan list for a westbound trailerload.
I don't have any Washington-bound freight for you, but we could do lunch while you're here. See some of the sights, maybe take in a Rouge Plant tour or something.
The Michigan DOT does a pretty good job of reporting construction & traffic, although traffic isn't much of a problem lately because only half the people here have a full-time job to commute to. MDOT - Michigan Department of Transportation

If you do a search on load boards you may find some more but I think this may be the one you are looking for.
