Toyota Trucks have never been mileage mizers. 20 must be on dead-to-nuts flat ground. I borrowed one last week for towing a 2000 LB boat I have and achieved 10 MPG going about 60 MPH. The same trip in a Ford expedition lent 12 MPG going the same speed. The owner of the truck says he can't do better than 13 MPG but still loves it. He's a middle-aged rich guy like Roofie that buys trucks for fun and dumps them when he gets bored. LOL. The Ford will do a little better on mileage but also has less horspower and less forward gears. If you want the best MPG's go with the chevy. If I was buying a truck to "work" on the farm I would definitely stick with the F150. It is true that the beds and sheet metal are more beefy than the other makes plus American truck makers offer huge incentives making them a better value and they are a LOT cheaper to fix. |
