Re: Can women fly combat missions now?

As long as the pilot can locate the target, pull the trigger, take it out and get back to base safe, I could care less what is between their legs..................

Good luck getting a clearance/commission if she tells them she was a stripper.

To answer the original quesion, yes they can, there are numerous female fighter pilots in the USAF, some would even argue they are better suited for the role as the guys that run the Centrifuge for their training claim they have NEVER G-locked a female, something to do with them having more lower body stength for their size so they have less problems keeping blood in their brains.

I'm surprized he let them have that much fun? You did note the captain also was a pilot! </div></div>It probably makes a good recruitment video for the Navy, with all the high school kids on Youtube, It may get them interested in a Naval career. </div></div>

It's not a bad career! </div></div>Yes Sir, My dad spent 10 Years in the Navy in the mid 60's & he said it was a very good time in his life.

Good point on the STRIPPER. And they WILL find out. When you go to flight school they do a very extensive background check. Every time you get up-graded they do background checks again and this is not a simple computer search. 10 years after my wife and I split she was up for being the first female B-1 bomber captain, and the military investigators come to my door asking some of the oddest questions in front of my new wife. Obviously I told them lets meet at the diner and discuss this privately. Point being they will check and if she was a stripper she will not get wings and will not get a security clearance.

But you're too old and........ well a few pounds on the high side for a fighter.

Want to see something funny? Me trying to get in my flight suit 30 years older and 70 pounds heavier!

Hmmm...I've never had a broken bone... </div></div>

Re: Can women fly combat missions now?

Why would being a stripper keep her from getting her wings? Some of the girls(now women) that were strippers have more morals, and determination than the college girls-turned soccer moms I know. I can understand if they were tattoes scumbag mattress backs, but just dancing cam do no harm. Besides it could make for some good entertainment during "off" hours.

THEY DO EXTENSIVE BACKGROUND CHECKS whoops sorry. Even the slightest odd ball things can stop a fighter career. He/she could by flying around in a FA-18, F-16 or even a F-22 Raptor with a Nuclear load and they want to know you won't fly off and sell it for TIPS.

They WILL interview the former spouse several times asking a lot of quite personal questions. Been there done that!
