I use a house charger with an inverter in the truck if i need charged throughout the day but most of the time i unplug it at 5:30 am and plug it in at 10:00 pm and the battery lasts all day. I don't plug it in on Friday as i don't get work calls on the weekend and i'll let it get really low, then plug it in saturday night.
I second that. Try to make a habit of running your battery down very low, and then using a wall charger to recharge it. The slower the charge the longer the battery will last I feel. I'd be careful using an inverter with a wall charger. Cheap inverters create a modified sine wave which can harm certain electronics. See link for explanation.West Marine eCatalog 2007 - page 388

Am thinking I read somewhere that the cell batteries are good for about 300 cycles of recharge whether it is a full cycle or a short cycle to top it off. Had also read something about not using the car charger unless absolutely necessary. Unfortunately, most of the handsfree kits are set to charge while in the cradle, much like my laptop battery which charges everytime I plug it into the wall. Wish they would give an option of whether to charge or not.
