I was in too much of a hurry the other day.... noticed one of my tires was real low. Unfortunately I grabbed the wrong air hose, stuck the tire chuck on it and pumped my tire up from the "oiled" air line.
Does air tool oil ruin tires?

The amount of oil in the air tool system should not be an issue. I would let it go, but don't continually fill from the air tool side.
My bona fides: I have 14 years supervising / managing truck maintenance shops and have been around trucks and trucking for 35 years, working on my own cars and occasional side work for 40+ years.

Mark that hose and don't ever use it for painting.

I normally use "blue" air lines on the oiled line and red hoses on the "dryed, unoiled" air. I was in a wicked hurry and twitted out for the moment and refilled the flat tire cause the blue hose could reach the truck out in the driveway while the red hose was wrapped around the lawn tractor, my tool rollaway, etc., etc. etc.
Found an 8-penny nail in the tire when I took it in to have the leak fixed this morning. The tire "tech" didn't see oil in the tire when he patched it on the inside, but he rinsed it out to be sure the patch would stick.
