My wife just love's to beat the sxxt out of meats etc. using various tenderizing tools of mass destruction. Nothing major YET, but getting some little poc marks about 1/16" thru glaze on tile. Do use small chopping block on counter top, but its not always big enough. So...
Wondering if a dab of paint or ? would make spots look better. Any idea's. Yeah I know, thought same.
Well I guess if you find a color that matches, what color are you dealing with. It might be a good idea to go to a craft store for paint to use on ceramic tile. maybe glaze paint and a GOOD heat gun to re-fire the tile and buy a bigger chopping block.
I've never had any luck in trying to fix ceramic tile. I have floor tile on my countertop, and if a tile gets messed up I chip it out and replace it with a new tile. I have about a dozen unused tiles left over from installing the floor and countertop over 10 years ago. But replacing a tile is a tough job, so I have about three or four now that needs replacing. I'll get a round tuit someday.
Tks. Ive replaced broken floor tile before & know what u mean. No spare's for our c.top. I'll check out our local craft store for paint or ? Maybe I'll get my wife a bigger C.board & just tell her its for turkey day.
tile counter top and sudden impacts like meat tenderizing don't mix at all. Do the tenderizing somewhere else and not on the tile.

I remodel kitchens for a living. It amazes me how people believe that counter tops are as durable as, say, the top of my table saw. Tile is tile. Granite is granite. Plastic laminate is plastic laminate. They are nice products but they are what they are. What they are not is a good product to be beating on with a hammer, mallot, rolling pin, or other masses of weight.
You need a large enough surface to distribute the weight, the energy of the blows, over a large enough area to reduce the PSI pressure on the counter top.
That is why many resturants have a large, independant, self standing, chopping block in the kitchen. To beat their meats on. Chop their vegetables on.
Oh, and don't use a chopping board with the little feet on it. That just concentrates the psi onto the location of the feet.
