Re: Does changing Spark Plugs help? + Injector cleaner?
New plugs will help some, but the ignitions are so good these days it will only help with things like really cold days.
I think injector cleaners do help. I like seafoam the best.

Re: Does changing Spark Plugs help? + Injector cleaner?
BG44K is my choice of cleaners. I put it in and run the car for a 20 miles and let it sit for a few hours rather then putting it in and driving it for a long distance letting it sit overnight will help to loosen up the carbon.
Re: Does changing Spark Plugs help? + Injector cleaner?
I like lucas for injector cleaners. Its worked wonders on my old PSD I run it in all my cars. Changing plugs wouldnt hurt. New cars arent as picky as old ones. When my S10 needs new plugs it will let me know, missing, mpg goes down the tubes, my neon might pick up 1 mpg with new plugs but other than that I can't tell I have put new plugs in it

I can't say about nowdays, but the engine reps from the big three only advised and recommended using Chevron Techron (or a spelling similar) some years back. In fact Ford or GM had a service bulletin saying to run a bottle through at a certain mileage interval.
Re: Does changing Spark Plugs help? + Injector cleaner?
It probably has platinum plugs in it. Replace them with standard plugs and replace them on a regular basis.
The only reason platinum is used is it's the cheapest material that will last 100K miles (federal requirement). It has been proven time and time again that platinum plugs are LESS efficient and cost power.

I agree fully. Independent labs continue to show the benefits of running Techron. I only run Chevron and Texaco gasoline in my gassers. It's about 5 cents a gallon more, but since both contain Techron it's worth it.
