Anyone know where I can find out how to re-jet a Honda EU2000 generator..I'm headed to higher elivations... above 6000'. I've been out there once before...and boy my Hondas would hardly run..
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Honda EU2000I
Tools Needed: Flat blade screwdriver, 8mm socket, and 10mm socket.
1. Turn ENGINE SWITCH to OFF.
2. Turn FUEL TANK CAP VENT LEVER to OFF.
3. Remove the MAINTENANCE COVER.
4. Remove the AIR CLEANER COVER and MAIN and OUTER FILTERS.
5. Drain GAS from the carburetor by loosening the SCREW on bottom of carburetor bowl. Close DRAIN SCREW when finished.
6. Remove HEX BOLT holding the black air box on. (8mm)
7. Remove TWO NUTS holding the air box and carburetor. (8mm)
8. Slide AIR BOX off carburetor studs and fold down out of the way.
9. Slide CARBURETOR out being careful with GASKETS (two, front and back).
You may have to remove one or two hoses from their brackets in order to slide off of studs.
11. Remove CARBURETOR JET by unscrewing with flat blade screwdriver and replace with NEW JET. Do not overtighten.
12. Reverse procedure for reassembly.

0 – 4000 ft, 62
4000 – 7000 ft. 60
6000 – 10000 ft. 58
Carburetor: KEI HIN
Note: Engine horsepower decreases about 3.5% for each 1,000-foot increase in altitude. The effect on horsepower will be greater if no carburetor modification is made."
This was found doing a quick search on "Honda eu2000i" in the forum section and scrolling until I found it. There is probably much more there you will just have to search. The Honda website may have some info. too.
I bought mine from NorthwestTool in Wa. (they must be around sea-level) and I live at 5016 ft., used it up to 7000+ and never re-jetted. It runs just fine.
Was your previous experience with an EU2000 or different model?

What does "runs just fine" mean?
Develops full power?
Doesn't run rich, doesn't foul the plug(s), doesn't dilute the oil with unburned fuel?
Runs efficiently, using no more fuel than necessary?

I think the information you have provided is fare enough no need to go that forum.
By the way the form link showing 404 error and that is because of comma at end of Link URL.
You have such nice information and it is step by step so any one can use it.
need help in step number 8, how do you exactly slide the air box off the carburetor stud? i have a Mr Gasket carburetor stud on my truck, what lube can i use, its somewhat stuck to my carburetor stud.
