Hey guys maybe someone can help with this, i have a 1986 harley davidson fxr lowrider. i believe the motor is considered a knuclehead, i know it is an Evo motor, and (stock) it was 80 C.I. its been bored, ported, polished, cammed, S&S carburated, dyna ignition system, and some upgraded flywheel/ clutch set up that i dont remember the name of. at any rate, recently the battery wen out, i replaced it, and it died again. cool its under warranty right? well yea it was so i was out on the open road again...... not for long! the battery died again! ok so it must be the charging system. charged up battery, ran bike and noticed the headlight staying dim not gettin brighter with rpms. ok so it definately is the charging system. now for the question, has anyone changed the stator/voltage regulator on this style motor, or one similar? how is it done?, how hard is it to do? any help and pics would be great! thanks guys, you are always a great help with my stroke, i hope it will carry over to the Harley.

The Guy That Said That May Have Very Well Been Drunk..... My Dad Did The Mods, And Passed Away And Left It To Me. I Had It Rebuilt 3 1/2 Years Ago, But Just Paid Out The Ass To Have Someone Do It, So Im Really Not Too Keen On It To Be Honest, But Id Say Its Not Then. Thanks For The Info.
