LED Illuminated Toggle

So, it won't light up. It is a 12V 20 Amp and has the three prongs, Power, Acc, and ground. The switch itself powers a 12V solenoid off a 12V battery but it won't light up.

Is there not enough resistance? Does the actual LED need less voltage (2 or 3 volts?).

I don't see a wiring diagram on it but if someone could provide one with the necessary connections and extra parts that would be nice!

Thanks

Yeah, the solenoid opens with power, closes when switched off. Could be a bad switch I guess. I'll take it apart and double check the ground.

Sure!

+Battery to switch Power lead

Ground on switch split, one running to solenoid - lead, the other to battery - lead

Solenoid + to switch Acc lead

Was the solenoid and ground on the switch not both grounded to the vehicle in your original setup?
