Which one to buy??

I am currently looking at two trucks. One is a 2005 F250 FX4 XLT supercab w/ 67k mi. The other is a 2003 Dodge Ram 2500 4 full door quad cab Laramie (loaded) w/ 90k mi. The F250 is all stock except for a big steel front bumper. It also has a goose neck hitch so it has been used to towed a 5th wheel. The dodge is all stock except for a leer cap, and turbo gauge and exhaust temp gauge, and never been used for a 5th wheel. Both are asking about the same price, so my question is which one would be more worth it? I am one of those crazy guys who really doesn't NEED a diesel, but I just want one and I'm going to get one b/c I can. It will just be used for weekends, and whenever I take the boat out (only 19'er). I just dont want to buy something and then have to turn around and fix abunch of crap on it. I have heard alot about the 6.0L, and know that the cummins is a proven motor, but the mileage is significantly more on the dodge. But the dodge is also much nicer inside and there is more room in it. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Personally I would rather have the dodge. The cummins is a much more realiabe engine, were as the 6.0L isn't quit as reliable. I would try and deal a bit on price, if possable. If your looking at modding the truck at all the dodge is alot cheaper also.

With $5/gal or higher diesel fuel a reality Your buying diesel to pull a 19 ft fishing boat? My Father-in-Law aways uses His Lincoln Towncar to pull His 19 ft fishing boat. And He still got 20 MPG towing on the highway.

Boat towing

I used to tow a 21 foot Rabalo with a 1991 Ford F150 and a 302 with limited slip.

To my house from the Pacific Ocean is 8 miles and a 1800 foot gain in elevation on a twisty two lane blacktop.

No, I bought a diesel because I want one. The first post says it all. I have an old honda that I use to drive to work and for short commutes to save on gas. I actually ended up buying a 2006 F250 last weekend and couldn't be happier. Reason I bought it over the cummins is that the engine is still under warranty for another three years.
