it's on the truck, some small spots, some the size of quarters. some spots where it has been hot enough for the sap to run down the side of the truck.....
i think we have mutated sap here, the goo products dont seem to work on it.
i was pointed toward using witchazel a little bit ago, i'll see how that works out.
Olive oil, vegetable oil or similar cooking oils. Wipes it right off when I use it. I make sure I have a bottle whenever I go camping to remove all the sap at the end of the trip.

I have been in the Janitorial & Chemical Distribution business for 18 years. I would have to agree with DWELCH1 and SMOTRS on this one.
WD40, cooking oil, mineral oil, or Pam Cooking Spray for the quickest and easiest method to remove sap or bugs. First, apply then let it sit on the sap for at least 30 - 60 seconds, give it some time to penetrate, then wipe. If it doesn't come completely off the first time, repeat. Definately WD-40 if it's road tar.
WD-40 is in simple terms a solvent refined and dewaxed mineral oil. I would stay away from Goof-Off or Goo Gone. Those are d-Limonene (citrus peel oil) based with a solvent. The d-Limonene is an adhesive remover and could penetrate and remove the clear coat and the paint.

I agree here, DEFINITELY stay away from the Goo Begone stuff. It can penetrate the Clear coat and start to make it look cloudy. Which is definitely what you don't want.
