Power Service in the cold?

It's 15 out, not sure if the last tank my wife got was blended or not. I have heard that Power Service will not mix with diesel when it's cold out. Any truth to that, or will I be ok if I pour some in this morning and run it?

As many times as I've done it (and no doubt many others), I'd say none whatsoever.

Re: Power Service in the cold?

I have used it when truck was just starting to gel , Power Service smoothed it right out. That is the brand we used it all of our trucks.

Aaron SEIA </div></div>Use the White bottle,it is the Anti-Gel formula,if you already have the gray bottle though, I am sure it will not hurt anything.

Re: Power Service in the cold?

As JMJD, and maniac have posted, you likely won't have any problem adding after fill up. It is recommended prior to fill up to "ensure proper mixing". Add it, drive down a bumpy road, hit the brakes a few times, and you're probably mixed. Done it myself in Wyoming and Colorado Springs, no ill effects, just memory deficiency....

Re: Power Service in the cold?

Your fuel is winter blend and doesn't need any additives.
I live in Michigan & have never used any additives in my truck & never had a problem. With over 379,000 miles on it I would think I would have by now if it was going to happen.
