Problem with TT water

I have borrowed my buddies Starcraft R/T to take to the lake. While loading and doing my checks, I flushed the fresh water system and then tried to use the sink. I turned the water pump on and it pushes water out of the freshwater hookup on the exterior instead of through the faucets. I have looked everywhere and turned every valve I have found with no success.

Any ideas?

There is a check valve at the fresh water hookup that is stuck open. Mine does the same thing, I keep a plastic plug the same size as a garden hose end in mine after I fill it with fresh water. You might be able to free it up with a screwdriver, have someone inside the RV turn on the pump and then probe around inside the hose hookup outside the RV.
Good luck...

Yep, mine leaks too. Make sure you get a "garden hose" type plug, not a regular pipe plug. The threads are not the same, a pipe plug is tapered pipe thread.

Well, I'm back from the lake. We had a great time.

dklein was right for the most part. There is a small screen and gasket assembly for the hookup. I guess the owner cleaned it out and the installed it backwards. The screen was pointed in and pushing on the check valve, keeping things open.

I turned everything around and it sealed up perfectly.

Here are a few pics. They are not mine but they repersent the camper. It is a Starcraft 36 R/T. Pretty slick rig.

Thanks again for the help. It salvaged my Labor Day weekend 360 miles from home.
