QuickBooks and Apple Computers

Who else out there got screwed this weekend when they tried to open their QuickBooks program on their Mac? I lost my entire desktop and was told it would be $500-700 to recover and no promises. If you haven't opened QuickBooks and you have a mac don't open it. Go to Intuit's website and find out the details.

Re: QuickBooks and Apple Computers

If you have QuickBooks don't use it till you find out if it is safe or not. It isn't a Mac problem it is an Intuit problem. Quickbooks goes to update and it creates a new file with the word desktop in it and erases your existing desktop. Just learned that I had all my files recovered most likely but none of them are named properly. So that means that I get to go through 25000 files opening them up trying to figure out what the hell is what. I am so pissed at Intuit and myself for not backing things up properly.

Re: QuickBooks and Apple Computers

Every time Intuit has a major update, it is always a screwup!! I think that they are actually trying to surpass Microsoft for the buggiest product. I just wish there was a valid alternative.

Re: QuickBooks and Apple Computers

next time someone says Macs can't have malware, I'll point them to this.
