replacement of injectors Explorer 1999

I have (actually owned by my daughter) a 1999 Explorer 4.0L with bad injectors.
I bought a set of injectors and, since I have never worked on THIS rig before, I need to know how many repair hours at flat rate.
Anyone know?
thank you, bill

Re: replacement of injectors Explorer 1999

im not quite sure on the vehicle your dealing with but usually you just pull the bolts out that secure the fuel rail to the intake manifold and the injectors and the fuel rail pull out as a unit.

the injectors just use a o-ring to seal in the manifold and a o-ring to seal to the fuel rail. not a whole lot to it

Re: replacement of injectors Explorer 1999

well, I have owned 2 other Fords with the 4.0; 1 Ranger 4by and 1 1991 Explorer. I replaced injectors on each myself.
This is a 1999; totally different intake setup.
I am having a shop replace them and was wondering about estimated hours.
