I drove by one the other day. Kinda like it. I have always like the idea of the rotary engine.
Does anyone know anything about these cars? Goods/Bads

My daughter's neighbor has one. She is a school teacher and no hot rodder. She always wanted one, so she got one...however her car gets a disappointing 16 mpg.

Poor mileage killed rotary's for the most part. They have many advantages, and Mercedes had a 3-rotor Wankel planned for a car 30-40 years ago, but it never materialized
They really dont like short trips. They will flood and refuse to restart. other than that if you warm them up fully and drive them like you stole it their pretty cool cars.

I am readiung about 50/50 on them. Seems like you get a good one or a bad one, with nothing inbetween.
Too bad. I am seeing them go for short money around here. NADA says they are worth over 20K and dealerships have them for 12K.
I guess I will have to pass.
