Sales

I'm curious if anybody knows how far 6.4 sales are off vs. last year? Cummins just released their earnings and they were very healthy but one of the interesting notes was that sales to Chrysler are of 60%. That's a striking number and I wonder if PSD's are that soft as well?

Don't know the true numbers but have read that the mixture of diesel to gas produced Superduty's is now closer to 50/50 where once it was somewhere north of 75/25 in favor of diesels. Face it, with the current price of diesel fuel, big pickup sales are hurting real bad. If things don't change soon, I see bankruptcy filings in the future and I doubt Chrysler as we now know it will survive, maybe broken up and sold to Nissan and Jeep to the Chinese or something.

Huh? I think you meant to say "Ford reported a quarterly loss of $8.7B. What does that say for the company?"

At any rate, what it says is that they have a product mix that is not correct and are selling into a slowing market.

GM reported this morning and managed to lose more than Exxon Mobil made.
