We have recently installed a rain barrel and would like to be able to use it to feed a lawn sprinkler. I think I will just get a submersible pump to power the water, but how many GPM will I need to make the sprinkler run?
Last time I bought a replacement sprinkler for my lawn the flow rate was printed on the box. If you know the make and model of the sprinkler, maybe a trip to HomeDepot or Lowes might yield the info on another box. What type of sprinkler is it?

Will the sump pump provide adequate pressure at the volume required? Sprinklers usually require 40 to 50 PSI to reach full flow.
