Re: tahoe water pump
I usually replace all of it (water pump, thermostat, thermostat housing if it needs it, hoses, and fluid). I also pay close attention to the fan clutch. In the older vehicles I used to take care of, I'd replace the fan clutch too, for 2 reasons: a. I was already in there doing the other work, and I may as well do that now also, and b. With my luck, if I didn't replace it, the fan clutch would be the next thing to have to be replaced (see a. above). just my .02 cents worth.
