look in the phone book for the local welding supply. The gas you are looking for is also known as STARGON. you will also need the flowmeter for the regulator.

What did you buy for a machine and what liner does it have for the wire?

idk i got it for 60 bucks from work less than half price but its a cheapo starter one and itll work for spare tire mounts and such nothing major
it came with flux core wire (no gas needed) but that dont weld as nice
i assume by liner you mean the tube that the wire goes to the gun through?
thanks

As Scott mentioned, look in the yellow pages. If you plan to keep the welder for a good long time, I'd recommend purchasing your own bottle instead of renting. Renting is cheap up front but you continue to pay the rent month after month whether you're using it or not. Eventually, it will be cheaper to have bought the bottle and then you just pay for the gas.

I use straight C02, which is fine for heavier work like repairing or building a trailer, etc. For sheet metal, use a 75/25 mix of Argon/CO2.

Good luck and happy welding.

i run the stargon for everything from sheetmetal to 3/4" multipass when I am rebuilding the plow curb shoes with carbide inserts. It is a multipass process due to the fact that my machine is only 250 amps.
