08 f-450 king ranch

picked up my 450 king ranch the other day. NICE truck... the seats leather is soft, but the seats are still on the firmer side which i like. the navigation and touch screen is nice and easy to use. i'm not happy they did away with the drivers side (glove box) storage area in the dash, it was replaced with an ashtray... that was a handy little place in my 06 to put stuff. the only other thing i did not like on it was the stereo sound quality. the subwoofer sounds less than walmart quality when turned up past 1/2 volume and the speakers don't have the clearness they should. but under 1/2 volume it sounds great... yes, it still has the diesel sound, but starts very quickly and has a tight shut-down, you turn the key off and thats it, nothing like the 6.0L. great truck...

They didn't tell you the k-off e-off recycle of the fuel injectors will be the first TSB that comes out? j/k Congratulations on getting your F-450. I'm fighting the urge to price out an '08 to replace my '00. MUST...FIGHT...THE URGE......MUST...THINK...ABOUT...FOOTBALL (or basketball, or racing, or babes). I'll be curious on the reports from you guys after you get a few k miles on the trucks.

Re: 08 f-450 king ranch

it is an 8inch sub behind the rear center console. I might have sounded harsh about the quality of sound, i put in a different CD and it sounded alot better, with low bass it sounds terrible, rock and country sounds great in it, turned up just below half way.. i guess i'm just used to a competition stereo from my jeep... I'm putting in the 5th wheel tomorrow afternoon then i'll get some pics..
a comment was made to me tonight about the pole handle on the tailgate being so gay, i just replied "your wife liked it" I forsee some good aftermarket advertisements with girls hanging off that pole...
