'08 F250 And Injector Problems - Diesel Forum

My dad just got his '08 F250 4x4 w/67k out of the shop Friday afternoon after having an injector go out. It ran fine yesterday when I took it out and when my dad drove it to church this morning. But when he started it to head back to the house afterwards the truck started missing again running rough. So he's thinking :
1.) The dealer just tried to run some cleaner through there the first time or
2.) The same or different injector went out again
Anyone had this issue that can help. The truck is a recent purchase and from the initial dealer inspection has never been modified.

What was written on the paperwork, as far as what they've done to fix it? Did they pull the cab?

There have been repeat injector failures on trucks that have a short in either the high pressure fuel pump gasket (it has a harness as a part of it), TSB 07-26-2 (no pdf, sorry), or a short in the injector harness under the valve cover.

There was also a limited recall on some trucks where they actually replaced several injectors per truck. I think It dealt with mostly Job 1 trucks for 08 model year.
