08 taillights

Anyone by chance know if the 08 taillights will fit an 06? Also, haven't been able to find any good closeups of them yet, for those that have seen the truck in person are they nice enough to consider the upgrade?

Re: 08 taillights

I don't know if you can actually call that an upgrade. I don't see the attraction. If You're going to spend the money get a good aftermarket tailight.

Re: 08 taillights

Agreed. There's so little difference between the two, why bother spending the dough?

To each his own I guess.

Re: 08 taillights

I wish they would have come out with some nice all LED tail lights, you know, really make a change other than putting the reverse lights above the brake lights.

Although, I'll probably 'update' mine to these new ones as well. I can't say that I really like any of the aftermarket ones out today.

I like the new tail and front maker lights on the new '07 Escalade. I can't see that the cost difference would have been that much.

Then again, most of the people buying these trucks aren't too concerned with 'little' stuff like tail lights etc...

Just a few of us odd ones...

Re: 08 taillights

I haven't come across any aftermarket ones that don't look ricey to me, I prefer more of the subtle changes, just something a little different with OEM fit/finish.....to each his own I guess.

Re: 08 taillights

The 08 lens has the reverse light up top.Don't you think the 06s which has the clear lens on the low side would be better for backing up?

Re: 08 taillights

I'm not a fan of the back up light above the brake light either. Now its almost needed for everyone to put aux. back up lights in.

Re: 08 taillights

I would agree with you fully on this. Just think from the 'customization' piece of it that it might look neat. Again, it's about the only thing that I 'sorta' like as I don't like any of the aftermarket taillights.

I'd love to see a custom all LED taillight. I think that would be really cool. Add those along with the LED dually marker lights and some pinch weld LED's and you'd be stylen...

Yes, the exhaust tip has been discussed. What is horrendous about it?

Re: 08 taillights

I just personally think it is very ugly and looks very non diesel. Just my opinion though.
