6.4L Power Stroke Engine and Drivetrain Discussion of the 6.4L Power Stroke diesel engine and drivetrain in the 2008 Super-Duty trucks. No gas engine discussion allowed except on transmissions and drivetrain that pertain to all models. 2008 diesel question

I am trading my 2003 King ranch crew cab in for a 2008...???

1) I had a Prodigy brake controller for my travel trailer..how does the factory Ford one work compared to Prodegy???Is the one designed by Ford a equal or better option??

I think the new King Ranch colors SUCK..I love my 2003 green the new ones look gawd aweful... [img]/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/vomit.gif[/img]

Here in Canada we get SCREWED by Ford when trading in the old POS..for the NEW improved one...lost 25 K in 3 years on the King RANCH

fULLY LOADED...

aNY OF THE OPTIONS a MUST have??? [img]/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shrug.gif[/img]

I have decieded on 3.73 limited slip..reverse sensor...4 toggle switches..King Ranch..crew cab..diesel..DUH...BRAKE CONTROLLER???

6 stack c-d....buckets front..60-40 rear seat..

Any suggestions frrom current owners...????

Dipricol gauges will they work on the 2008 with twin turbos??where to install??same place??box change??or will 03 canopy fit ?

I think they work identical to each other. In fact, I think it is the Prodigy Ford is using for their controller.

If I'm wrong, someone please correct me.

Hmmm Ok what are the new "gauges " on the 08????I heard one was a boost gauge?? and the other was a auxillary trans Temp??

So the only one needed is a Pyrometer??

Anyone STILL putting these aguges on their O8'S

The factory brake controller is better in my opinion than the standalone/add-on Prodigy. But yes, both the Prodigy and the Ford factory controller are made by Tekonsha.

I had a Drawtight on my last 3 SDs. I love the factory one. I was always adjusting the old one. This one needs no adjustin, I just set it at 10. You can not even feel them grab
