No gas engine discussion allowed except on transmissions and drivetrain that pertain to all models. Please confine discussion of topics in this forum to those items that are specific to the 6.4L Power Stroke engine.
I do not think that the F-450 with 4.30 gears and Torqueshift were derated, they are at 350hp/650lb torque. Only the 450 with 4.88/Torqueshift and the manual transmission trucks were detuned to 325/600. Since the detuning was probably software programmed, maybe your friendly Ford diesel tech could bump the engine back up to 350/650.

Yea only the 4.88 was detuned. On the ford spec sheet the standard 4.30 axle has the 350 H and 650 T but also has the capability to have a GCVW of 33,000 pounds.
Thank you everyone for the info. I talked to the dealer ealy this morning, and he had found the new order guide with the info in it. So after seeing that and hearing your advice and the loads you put on your trucks I feel confident I will have no problems.
As soon as I get the truck I will post some pics.
