2008 sheet metal

I've been carefully looking at all the recent photos, especially the ones from the Texas State fair, and it appears to me that the doors and pickup box on the 2008 are the same as the existing sperduties with the exception of the the hood, tailgate and the front areas of the front fenders. Is this so?

Yes it is. They will not get a complete makeover until 2010 or 11. They are shooting for 2010,

I want one of those tailgates for my truck; that step is ingenious!

Re: 2008 sheet metal

You guys'll spend money on ANYTHING!!!

Nice tailgate, but worth a retrofit? Bet the entire assembly is a $550 part.

Re: 2008 sheet metal

I want to know. Is there any good body shop that could hang 99-06 sheet metal on the front of that truck. Since everything else is the same. Because it is so ugly. Sorry I can't stand it.
