i assume you have a F250 PSD? Why would you want a chevy axle ratio? The purpose of the truck is to tow/haul. lowering the ratio too much will lower the capabilities.
I have not heard of anyone going to that. I suppose aftermarket might.
to determine what you have look at the drivers side door opening. It should have the axle code there.

I was just looking at this to increase the MPGs, Does anyone know what axles we have on the trucks? Also, where can you find the ring & pinon for that ratio or near that ratio?
Dana 60 up front and Ford Sterling 10.50 out back. 3.55 is the highest factory ratio shown in the Ford Parts catalog. Ford does not use Dana 60s in the rear on Superdutys.

You are right about the rear...what was I thinking?

I personally don't feel I'd want an R&P higher than a 373. Pulling power is what its all about...no?
It is amazing at how many of these trucks that will never see a trailer or a load put on them. Look at how many dully trucks that are out there with a permanent cap on them or a 4x4 that never leaves the pavement. I would say that over 50% of trucks now days are only grocery getters I may be wrong in the percentage but there are a lot of them. I know of a couple of women that bought F350 diesel 4x4's because they were the biggest and baddest looking vehicle out there and they love being higher than most people and being able to look down at the cars. Well, there is my .02 cents for people that want a truck but will never use it as a truck.
I have a 350 that does nothing but haul and tow. I will be switching to 3.55 if I wear out another set of pinion bearings. My pinion gear is on its last leg and the 3.55 gearset is setting on the shelf waiting.
