4x2 versus 4x4 Mileage Difference on 08 F350 6.4L ???

In general, how much better mileage can I expect with a 4x2 instead of 4x4, both while empty (city/highway) and while pulling a 13,000 lb fiver? I'm referring to a 2008 F350 Superduty 6.4L diesel (crew cab short bed). I've already read many posts about advantages and disadvantages of 4x2 versus 4x4, and so I'm just interested in mileage differences.

Thanks!
Gary

I would bet $7.37 that it is less than 1 mpg difference, especially pulling a trailer. I am also curious to know.

Re: 4x2 versus 4x4 Mileage Difference on 08 F350 6.4L ???

That is a great question that I'm also interested in. I asked a bunch of folks before ordering a 4x4 (I always had 2x4 before). The general answer I got was about 1 to 1.5 mpg reduction with the 4x4 open hiway driving. Pulling a large trailer I agree with last post, I don't think as much difference. However, all the people I talked to only had experience with 7.3L and 6L. This weekend I'll get some info on my new truck only 95 miles on it so far!
