Atleast you kept it in the family, and "yes" I keep hearing people say that the 7.3L are actually increasing in value because of the 6.0,6.4,and now the 6.7L just not doing well. I'd like to see Ford turn around the diesel division, but maybe in 8-10yrs they will have another bullet proof diesel when I'm ready to replace my 7.3L
6.7 not doing well, eh? News to me and everyone else who bought them. If by not doing well you mean setting sales records, than yes, you are right. And contrary to what you might believe, 8 year old trucks do not increase in value as they get older. Stabalize in value, maybe, but my 2001 7.3 wasn't worth more in 2010 than it was in 2009. These are pick-up trucks where hundreds of thousands were made, not 1968 GT500KRs. As for the original poster, I personally think 250K is a lot of miles for a 3 year old truck. That is 80K miles a year, a TON of driving. There are plenty out there of any motor you want with a fraction of the miles. Unless that thing was a crazy smoking deal, I would keep looking. Good luck in your search!
