6.4L maintence video, many details

this may be old news, but it was new to me, video is 30 min. plus operation and maintence video, it really stresses how aftermarket parts are going to be a no,no......

Yup I thought the same thing. Just posted the same video a couple of days ago. Thanks for the heads up though!

Re: 6.4L maintence video, many details

interesting video

cetane rating >=45 when most comercial diesel fuel is 40
biodiesel <=B5 only when everyone sells B20
fuel filter is good for 20000 mi except for "special operating conditions"
oil is good for 10000 miles except for "special operating conditions"

"special operating conditions" seems to be any time the truck is used for what it is intended to do.

and last but not least - you mod it you own it

likin' mine more and more

Now, now... at least they finally gave us the mythical drain lever on the HFCM! So there's one way they could have made it more complicated... though of course you still have to crawl under the truck to access it. Oh, for the simplicity of the 7.3L setup. (Sure, they gave us the too-short tube on that one, but in a roadside emergency you could at least operate the lever without ruining your clothes!)

Re: 6.4L maintence video, many details

All i learnerded ahh was ahh epa can suck a fatty while they continue to save the world with all the other doo gooders out there. Thats my personal opinion but... The dent that the new epa regulations puts on diesels compaired to the whole perspective of things just makes china want to burn more coal and laugh about it. LOL last year china reduced there air regulations to cut their costs LOL!! Now thats something like a beezy slap to the face for USA hippies...oh and i didnt make that up

Re: 6.4L maintence video, many details

I forgot to mention the outragious cost of changing your muffler bearing(J/K), its gunna cost a grip to dispose of your muffler that collects all that soot that should at least be equaly distributed within all of us.

PS: i dont give a hoot, i just shoot it

I like the not so veiled threat about aftermarket modifications & the warranty.

Re: 6.4L maintence video, many details

Looks like the warranty police will be in full force with these. If so, I might look towards the darkside for my diesel needs. I hear they aren't so tough.

Will MBRP make an aftermarket tip with those neat little tabs?
