After egr replacement lack of power, poor mileage? - Diesel Forum

I have been running with a replacement EGR valve for about a month. The truck now seems to have a lack of power, struggles from 80KMH-90KMH to get into top gear and seems to consume a lot more fuel ( was 12 L/100 on hwy now 14-16 )... wondering if anyone else has same problem after the replacement .. it almost seems like the transmission perhaps isn't locking up now at hwy speed

Sounds like a defective replacement valve. Any codes in the system?

none that have trigged check engine.. haven't been back to the dealer yet ...

I just had my EGR valve replaced last week and it seems like my mileage and performance went up (slightly).

thanks for the info.. I would have expected at leasr the same performance so there must be something still going on
