Great video. I was looking to see if ours was rolling down the assembly line, but didn't see a Dark Stone over Gold. The wait is killing me. A neighbor in our campground had his brother in law come up from Virginia Beach to move his 32 foot travel trailer back there. He as driving a 2008 F-250 6.4. He has a couple of thousand miles on the truck, told me his on-board fuel computer was showing 18.5mpg on the highway at 65mph. Pretty close to what my '04 gets. He has not had any issues with the truck, just loves it. While it is quiet, I could tell it was a diesel, still sounded good like a PSD.

I noticed on the cooling system segment, the narrator says that the truck can "idle for hours". Now I have heard that the '08's have a high idle feature on them- does that mean that they have eliminated the threat of wet stacking on the new engine? That would be some very useful information to have.

I was going to start a thread about extended idleing. You said something about "wet stacking". What s that? I work construction and during the winter we let our trucks idle all day long, our sites are remote and we use the truck heater to keep some of our materials warm and workable. I've never had anything happen to any of my trucks because of idleing. Besides that, they have been putting PTO's on these trucks for years for that very thing. I would think it would be tougher on a diesel to leave it sit all day long on a cold day, start it and take off while it's still cold. i always warm my trucks up before I just take off to let oil circulate, but I've read on this site that you shouldn't do that. These trucks are made to do whats asked of them and a whole lot of guys/gals idle their trucks for whatever reason.
I think the narrator was talking about powering devices off of the PTO, while engaged the engine would be run up to the appropriate RPM to produce the necessary power for the PTO. So technically the engine would not be "idling" at normal idle speed(600RPM?) but rather 2000 or more RPM, where "wet stacking" would not occur.

I noticed the frame select started at 7:05 and the rollout was at 12:05. Is this how long it takes for one to be built? And how often is there a rollout? Like the man said "awsome just awsome".
Add that whatever the PTO is driving is demanding power... I'm not sure what a high volume, high pressure hydraulic pump will require, but we can be sure that "idling" was a poor choice of words.

Now you all know what I get to look at every day. And the body area with the yellow railings is the cab framer. Thats where I work within the plant.

Great video! Believe I remember my Dad mention years before he died that he worked for a Ford Assembly plant in his early life (way before I came along in 1940) but I don't have a clue where it was located.
If he did, I'm sure it didn't look like that amazing Ford KTP! I've always had a desire to take a tour through that plant and this video just significantly raised that desire.
