Boost when on the throttle - Diesel Forum

I noticed yesterday when I stepped her down from a light the boost went to over 31 lbs of boost. First time I've ever seen this. Thruck runs great with only 12000k on it.

Anyone else getting this?

Mountie.....I just pulled my 12000 lb 5th wheel 500 miles yesterday for the first time. Over 30 lbs of boost was common throughout the trip. Seemed high to me, but it got up there any time I started up the slightest grade. I'm real light on the pedal. Perhaps we need to retrain ourselves with the new dual turbo setup???

I will get from 28-32 psi when I get on it hard. RPMS up to about 3100. EGTs get up to about 1150F at this point. Genrally, running 65 or so, the boost hangs out at around 15-18
