Re: Connecting SEIC 2008 6.4l??

I am wanting to hook up the "Staionary Elevated Idle Control" to one of the Upfitter switches. The wiring for the 2008 appears to be differnet than previous models I have seen.

Re: Connecting SEIC 2008 6.4l??

I asked the same question a few weeks ago and no one seemed to know the answer then.

Hopefully someone will come up with an answer soon.

I have a subscription to the service manual on motorcraft.com and I searched and searched and could not find anything for you. Sorry.

Ford hasn't released the full upfitter body builder guide, but I can take a well educated guess on how to hook it up. The BCPSW (Vt/Bn wire) you list is the Battery Charge Protection Switch input, applying 12 volts to that wire should enable your SEIC.

If you want a manually variable or set RPM for PTO operation, by looking at Bulletin Q-108 for the 2005MY SEIC, you should be able to figure out what wires changed color, and hook it up the same way.

Re: Connecting SEIC 2008 6.4l??

I thought that the Battery Charge Protect did not lock the torque converter and varied rpm based upon battery voltage. Not really ideal for PTO operation. But thanks for the info

Re: Connecting SEIC 2008 6.4l??

I am not going to use the PTO so the Battery Charge is probably what I will want. If someone finda this to be the actual correct wiring...please post it.
