You guys are making me paranoid! I wonder what percentage of "job 1" trucks actually had radiator failure? I'm at 17k and also felt like I was "in the clear" as one of the few unaffected job 1's.

3 friends all with Job 1 builds, all have had at least 1 radiator replaced.
2 of the 3 have had new motors put in already.

ZeroOne, you are not in the clear. I thought the same thing with almost 34,000 miles and it started to leak last thursday. They replaced it Monday morning. Got lucky, dealer keeps 3 to 4 on hand since they know it is a problem.

That's what I was afraid of. I basically check the coolant level daily, and weekly the oil level & radiator crimps. I'm going to be one of the first 08's with a defective hood latch! Just hoping the new radiators are actually fixed at this point, since its been a known issue for so long.

I thought I was in the clear as well with almost 15k on my job1. I guess not.

I am getting it reflashed next week. They said it was built before 7/1/07 so they could reflash it. I'll be real interested in what if any changes are noticed. I'll report back.

Mine was leaking in the same place described. It's a Job1 truck (02/07). Traced it to the coolant resevoir. It's a 2-piece design and was leaking in the seam where the 2 pieces come tohether. New resevoir and I'm good to go for now.

The way I understand it, it's not IF you'll need the radiator replaced, but WHEN you'll need the radiator replaced. Mine went at 20,000 miles.

If that is the case, they should replace them all. I took mine in to be checked out and they said there was nothing wrong with it. My 03 stranded me early on and I don't want that ever again. I'll ask about it again next week when I'm at the dealer for the re-flash.
