<span style="color: #3333FF"> </span> I have posted before about getting a new truck im sort of stuck. I don't trust my 6.0 it has 49000 miles on it it had some issues. alot of egr's, 3 transmissions , a couple ebs , rear pinion seal and cluncking they cant seem to find. my wife said go get a new one its only money!!.but the truck is almost paid off and i would love to get out the payment thing. Im up in the air over the whole thing yes-or-no , 6.4-or-v10 its the whole mpg thing the v10 is cheaper but that never happens you just wind up buying more options and the price stay the same. so im kind of at a draw .Also a new motor again the 6.4 whats the long running problems are they going to have.
i use the truck for work and personal. I do tow alot some stuff small like 4000lbs but some stuff around 10000lbs mostly small equipment. I have small tree & landscape co. but my comute to my yard is 30 miles one way. IM STUCK!!!!!!!

IMHO Buy the '08 diesel and don't look back. I've got almost 12,000 miles on mine with no problems.
Just got back from a 1500+ mile trip towing the fifth wheel and all I can say is...... Make sure the mirrors are adjusted, because you'll forget it's back there!

Job 2 trucks (those built after July 1, 2007) have a few different options available and are purported to get about 1-1.5 MPG better mileage. If you order your new truck, you'll deffinately be getting a job 2, but if you buy off the lot, be sure to check the window sticker (lower right corner I think) for the approx. build date.

I haven't regretted my purchase one bit.

Go buy the 6.4. I have the manual and it is not the quickest off the line, but I drive 28 miles one way each day and am just shy of 4k in under 2 months. I did an oil change at 3700 and jumped from 14.9 mpg to 15.8 (actual, not the full-of-**** gage). Mine is a Job 1, made APR 07.
